Random House Edition
This hand-painted sepia photo was commissioned by Random House, which picked up distribution and published the cookbook in 1989.
The wonderful type was designed by Robert Aulicino to fit the photograph.
It features Newcomb Pottery (on the spine), an Art Nouveau Staffordshire Iris plate from the Sesquicentennial Edition cover, along with an antique coffee pot and a facsimile of The Picayune newspaper with beignets on a beautiful Art Nouveau cupboard.
