The jacket photograph features blue Newcomb pottery (on the spine), an Art Nouveau Staffordshire Iris plate (from the Sesquicentennial Edition jacket) on the front, along with an antique ironstone coffee pot, a dish of beignets and a facsimile of The Picayune newspaper displayed on an Art Nouveau cupboard.
Robert Aulicino beautifully designed the typography inset for the Random House edition jacket.
